COMPANY HISTORY

2014

Humble beginnings

Summit Energy Drilling and Construction Company LLC (PPC) is an upstream oil and gas company that remains focused on creating value by acquiring and developing assets in the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico. It was formed in December 2011, along with PPC Operating Company LLC, which is wholly owned by PPC, with investments from EnCap Investments L.P. Liberty Energy Holdings LLC, and management.
2015

New headquarters

Summit Energy Drilling and Construction announced two major oil discoveries and a gas discovery in the deep-water Gulf of Mexico after drilling the company’s first post-moratorium deep-water exploration well. This is one of the largest discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico in the last decade.
2016

Breakthrough

Summit Energy Drilling and Construction Oil & Gas finalizes its agreement with XTO Energy Inc., creating a new organization to focus on global development and production of unconventional resources.
2017

World wide coverage

Summit Energy Drilling and Construction joined by other sponsors, initiates the Global Climate and Energy Project (GCEP) at Stanford University — a pioneering research effort to identify technologies that can meet energy demand with dramatically lower greenhouse gas emissions.
